Stephan Hofer joined GHR Rechtanwälte in 2016. Prior to joining the firm, his work was related to domestic and foreign collective investment schemes, first as a representative services expert at a leading Swiss representative of foreign funds in Geneva, and thereafter as a fund engineer at a leading Swiss fund management company in Basel. In this connection, he was in charge of obtaining admittance of domestic and foreign investment funds for public distribution in Switzerland from the Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA.
Stephan Hofer's practice focuses on transactions and corporate structuring on both domestic and international level, with dedicated expertise on matters related to Africa. He also advises Swiss SMEs and government organizations on privacy and data protection. By teaming up with IT and other professionals in the digital sector, he is able to provide holistic solutions to clients' matters. Stephan Hofer also advises on contract and financial markets law.
